The regular monthly political barometer was conducted by PORU (fielded on 13-15 Dec 2017) and presented on SKAI tv network (http://www.skai.gr/) on Monday, December 18, 2017.

Some of the most important findings are:

  1. 74,5% of the Greek population believes that we are moving towards to the wrong direction. On contrary, 16% believe that we’re going towards the right one.
  2. 55% are not satisfied with the government’s performance and they believe that there are better alternatives. 36% declare its dissatisfaction, whether they believe that there are no better alternatives. On the other hand, 6% is satisfied with the government’s performance.
  3. Regarding the most likely outcome of the upcoming parliamentary elections, 60,5% believe that New Democracy (the current main opposition party) will be the winner of while a 15,5% shares a different opinion as believes that SYRIZA (main governmental coalition party) would.
  4. Who’s is the most capable candidate as PM? 46% believe that noone is, 30% believe that the leader of opposition Kyriakos Mitsotakis is, while 21% answered that the current PM Alexis Tsipras is.
